Industrial Microcontroller Boards

ALHAMBRA- Saiko Systems Ltd. announces the latest addition to it’s line of OEM Modules.

The 16-bit MCUPIC24-USB and the 32-bit MCUPIC32-USB are the first in a series of industrial, general purpose microcontroller boards ideal for confined small spaces requiring low power, but high performance.

Powered by Microchip’s PIC24 and PIC32 microcontrollers respectively, each board is a mere 2.5″ x 2.5″ and offers OEMs a host of features including Analog I/O, Digital I/O, UART, RS232, I2C, SPI, Timers/Counters, 8 general purpose LEDs, 8 general purpose toggle switches, USB 2.0 Full Speed (functional as a Host or Client), and much more.

The MCUPIC24-USB offers a 16MIPS performance at 32MHz requiring an average 50mA of power. The CPU features 256KB of flash and 16KB of SRAM for program code storage and execution. The modified Harward Architecture also features a single-cycle hardware Multiplier and Hardware Divider.

The MCUPIC32-USB offers a 1.56 DMIPS/MHz performance at 80MHz requiring an average 80mA of power. The CPU features 512KB of flash and 32KB of SRAM for program code storage and execution. The M4K 5-stage pipeline architecture also features a prefetch cache module to speed execution from flash, a single-cycle multiply, and high-performance divide module.

Furthermore, the modules can be configured to recieve power through the USB connector or an external system power source via a terminal block.

Using Microchip’s free MPLAB IDE and vast resources of software libraries, developers can bring their projects to life with ease and a quick time to market.

Each MCU board can be purchased module only or as a Development Kit which includes a complete Cable Set and ICD3 Programmer/Debugger.
